GEO Score Checker: a Generative Engine Optimization Tool for Your Articles

Autoblogging.ai's GEO optimizer scores how ready an article is to be quoted by AI answer engines such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Paste your content and a target keyword and you get a GEO score from 0 to 100, a letter grade, nine factor scores and the quick fixes that will lift it most.

What is a GEO score?

A GEO score measures how easy it is for a generative AI engine to lift, trust and cite your content. Classic SEO asks whether a page ranks; generative engine optimization (GEO) asks whether an AI answer will quote it. The checks follow the generative engine optimization research from Princeton: direct answers, statistics, quotable sentences, sources and clear structure make a page far more likely to be cited.

How it works

How the GEO score checker works

  1. Paste your article

Paste the HTML or plain text, or enter the ID of an article you wrote in Autoblogging.ai and it loads for you.

  2. Set the target keyword

The query you want AI answers to cite you for. Leave it empty and the article title is used.

  3. Run the GEO analysis

Rule checks plus an AI review score nine factors. It costs 2 credits and the report is saved to your history.

  4. Apply the quick fixes

Start with the weakest factors: the report lists up to five copy-paste fixes and a written assessment.

The nine GEO factors the checker scores

Each factor gets its own score, so you can see exactly why an article is or is not being quoted.

Direct answer readiness

Does the page answer the query in the first lines, in a form an AI engine can lift?

Citation and statistics density

Specific numbers and cited facts that give an answer engine something to quote.

Quotability

Short, self-contained sentences that still make sense out of context.

Expert authority signals

Experience, credentials and first-hand detail that show who is speaking.

Structured data extractability

Headings, lists and tables that a model can parse cleanly.

Entity and specificity

Named products, places, people and concepts instead of vague wording.

Source and reference quality

Links to credible sources that back up the claims.

Content freshness

Current dates, versions and figures, so the answer is not out of date.

Question-answer alignment

Headings phrased the way people ask, each answered underneath.

FAQ

GEO score checker FAQ

What is a GEO score checker?

A GEO score checker grades a piece of content on how likely generative AI engines are to cite it. Autoblogging.ai returns a 0 to 100 score, a letter grade, nine factor scores and the fixes that matter most.

What is the difference between GEO and SEO?

SEO optimizes a page to rank in search results. GEO optimizes the content itself to be quoted inside AI-generated answers. They overlap, and the GEO checks (direct answers, statistics, sources, structure) also make pages better for classic SEO.

Does the GEO checker query ChatGPT or Perplexity?

No. It scores your content against the factors AI answer engines reward; it does not run searches. To see whether Google's AI Overviews actually mention your brand, use the AI visibility tracker.

How much does a GEO analysis cost?

2 credits per analysis. It is available on every paid plan, starting with Starter at $19 a month.

Can I check an article I did not write in Autoblogging.ai?

Yes. Paste any article as HTML or plain text. If it was written in Autoblogging.ai you can enter its article ID instead.

Which AI engines is GEO for?

The factors target generative answer engines in general: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and similar tools that compose answers from web pages.
